CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: APRIL 30, 2006

Scientific and Professional Meeting “The Life and Work of Nikola Tesla” will be held in the Concert Hall “Vatroslav Lisinski”, 4 Stjepan Radić Square, Zagreb, Croatia, and in the Movie Hall of the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Croatia, 78 Vukovar Street, Zagreb, Croatia. The Programme of the Meeting will include plenary and invited lectures, short communications, poster presentations and social events. The official languages of the Meeting are Croatian and English.

 

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS:

 

Submission deadline is APRIL 30, 2006. Please refer to the submission information below for specific instructions.

 

1.    The abstract should contain results or overviews not submitted for publication elsewhere prior to the deadline of this Meeting.

 

2.   One person may be the first author on only one abstract and can have only one presentation at the Meeting; however, an author's name may appear on more than one abstract.

 

3.   The first author is supposed to present the paper. The Chairman of the Organizing Committee must approve any exception. Each author is supposed to have agreed with the information contained in the abstract.

 

4.   Abstracts in English should contain the following: (a) statement of specific objectives unless given by the title, (b) brief statement of methods, if important, (c) summary of results (d) conclusions. Please avoid phrases such as "will be discussed" or "will be presented".

 

5.   Abstracts should be submitted only as Word documents via e-mail to the address: tbituh@hatz.hr

 

6.   Submission of an abstract constitutes the agreement that the presenting author will attend the Meeting if the abstract would be accepted.

Formats for Abstracts submitted:

Title: Do not center; use upper- and lowercase letters; end title with a period. 

Authors: Start a new line; use upper- and lowercase letters; include department name, institution, city, state; end with a period. Use upperscript numbers to identify each author with his or her institution. Do not include street addresses or zip or postal codes.

Abstract: Start a new line. The abstract must not exceed 2000 characters (including title, authors, and affiliations) as determined by the character count feature of your Word processor.

Abbreviations: Spell out all abbreviations in full at the first mention in the text, with abbreviations following in parentheses.

Tables, figures and charts are not permitted in the abstract.

Young scientists and excellent students with supporting letter from their mentors are also welcomed to the Meeting without registration fee.

 

 

8.   Book of abstracts will be published before the Meeting and distributed during the registration.
