Abstract: The talk will focus on the new development in nonformaldehyde durable press finishing of cotton fabrics, including new polycarboxylic as nonformaldehyde DP finishing agents and improvement in abrasion resistance of DP finished cotton fabrics. It also contains materials to discuss the use of multifunctional carboxylic acids and aldehyde as paper wet strenght agents.
